On a day to day basis the role includes:
Supervising work that has been set by the absent teacher and managing the behaviour of students. It is essential that upon arrival you make yourself aware of the schools policies and procedures and at the end of the lesson you should collect the work and pass it onto the relevant point of contact, be it the teacher, head of department or the cover manager. You should also ensure that the classroom is as you found it and report any problems that may have arisen within your time in the classroom.
