Business Development Manager

You will be tasked with building market position by developing and negotiating business relationships and contracts with schools across London.

Your day-to-day duties could include:

  • researching across London to find new opportunities, making contact with key decision; makers and identifying needs;
  • working with a team to plan campaigns, proposals and rates;
  • developing an understanding of the requirements of existing customers and market trends;
  • negotiating with schools and building positive relationships;
  • making presentations to clients and senior management;
  • identifying and briefing senior management on new methods and opportunities to attract new candidates and clients
  • Preparing and forecasting sales figures and set KPI s
  • Work closely with the marketing manager to create innovative campaigns to attract and retain new candidates and clients.
  • Have a full understanding of current legislation and policies relating to school recruitment and in particular child protection
  • recruiting and training new staff members in sales and compliance
  • Managing your own teaching team throughout your allocated client base
  • liaising with other senior staff to determine the range services to be offered, and to develop an overall business development strategy

  • Education recruitment experience preferred or general business development experience coupled with a willingness to learn a new discipline

  • IT skills, particularly database handling. Design skills would be useful.
